Is boxing a good idea to take up as a workout?

Im interested in starting boxing classes as a workout routine, but im not sure if it will get me in shape, what does it do for you as well?And its not for fighting just more like selfdefense and as a workout routine.|||Boxing is a great workout i go to a boxing gym from time to time and is one of the best workouts. Your consantly moving and ducking so it also helps you with your feflexes and balance. Plus if you train for boxing youll be doing alot of cardio like jumprope running and hitting the speed bag. Take it up maybe you can come to my gym and i%26#039;ll spar with you and ill knock you out, lol just kidding i would take it easy on you.|||It%26#039;s an amazing cardio activity and muscle building also! Plus, you learn a few self defense moves as well! Great idea! Keep it up!|||it is one of the best ways to get into shape and build muscle tone. great idea to loose weight or tone up. it can shape your arms and legs.|||It takes a lot of work to get in shape to get in the ring for even a three round fight. It is going to make your average gym workout look like sitting down and drinking tea by comparison|||yea,its pretty good.i mean ppl use boxing 4 self-def,workout,4 fun,becuz their boxers,etc...i think its a good idea..its always good 2 stay fit and be protected!!|||Great idea. It%26#039;s always good to find something fun to do for exercise. Don%26#039;t plan on using that BIlly Blanks garbage for self defense though.|||have more sex it burns alot of calories off.|||Sounds great! Learn a few protective moves and yet get a full body work out! Just make sure you have the proper gear on so you don%26#039;t hurt yourself.
