Will boxing material help you in a real physical fight, say for self defense at school ?

What is the difference of boxing and street fighting? Please don%26#039;t respond to as if I%26#039;m starting trouble, say that I might hurt that person and they%26#039;ll arrest me and all kind of bull. I%26#039;m doing this to protect myself and my school is full is full of immature trouble makers who want to fight all the time with no futures.|||Boxing is a Sport.

Street fighting is ignorance.

don%26#039;t fight unless you really Really NEED TO .

not because some girl said something feel me?

and boxing material can help at some point but its useless if you don%26#039;t know how to use the things you learn.

this why if you learn something you need to be dedicated and remember it.|||The differences%26#039; in street and boxing is...

(street)

1. no rules apply (use of weapons kicks bitting, hair pulling etc)

2. most streets are ill experienced on how to fight and are usually self tort not knowing how to throw a perfect punch, or kick.

3. they have lack of disiplin and are usualy unfit, drunkards, bullies, or just looking for a fight.etc.

(boxing)

1. disiplined, gain fittness, make friends, builds confidence, not sexist, .

2. takes time to learn (as with anything)

3. becomes second nature. and you instinctivly put your boxers head on when you are being threatend.

once you know what you are doing boxing is one of THEE best self defence sports, if not the best, in my eyes. its easy to perform when you are correctly trained (with boxing you dont even have to be that experianced to deffend your self)

go down to your local boxing club and explain you want to join for self defence. you dont even have to get into the ring and fight if you dont want to (all good boxers will not allow you to any way until you and the coach is confident in your abilities)

hope this helps

|||Well to answer your question unlike Dr. Phil(i%26#039;m just jealous) it does because if you ever see the difference in strength of punches of someone who has been boxing for a year. You will be able to defend yourself much more efficiently because people who are not trained to punch usually cannot punch at all, even big boys are usually quite weak when it comes to boxing, but this does not mean that you will box for a year and beat everyone up. Boxing will make you better at defending yourself because the ability to punch will serve you well if you have a fight but if you can avoid fighting because there aren%26#039;t many positive outcomes.|||Boxing is a contest, fighting is a fight, you shouldn%26#039;t compare the two, but there is a big difference in throwing a natural punch and the power that can be developed by actually training how to punch, but seriously it probably won%26#039;t help at school, other than maybe some self confidence, which never hurts.|||Yes, it will help you in a fight.
