Do you have to remove the bony part of your nose in boxing?

My friend told me that it is a requirement for professional boxing in the U.S., is this true?|||you mean the cartilage, dont you a lot of boxers mainly latin/white

have more cartilage then black fighters thats why alot of us have flatned looks to our faces..Most black people do not have the same type of cartilage in their noses it is more plyable then wht folks and NO you dont get it removed in the operation table you get it flatened by too many shots to the face|||No!!! I

If you are going to have any bony part removed from your body it had better be in an Operating Room and not the boxing ring.|||Only if you%26#039;re Tex Cobb.|||not true|||It%26#039;s true. That%26#039;s why Michael Jackson had his nose removed.|||no|||Not true. Boxing is now an international sport as well. So it can be dictated by international rules. But in either case, you don%26#039;t have to get surgery on your nose.
