Is playing boxing on Wii Sports a good way to exercise?

When I play I stand up. After about 20 minutes, my heart rate has gone up, and I am breaking a sweat. Is it a good way for me to get exercise?

I am 180 pounds. About how many calories can I burn in 20 minutes of Wii Boxing?|||I don%26#039;t think so because that is only moving your arms and also there are ways to play the boxing on the Wii without having to actually exercise. Also, moving your arms and sweating isn%26#039;t that good of an excercise. You have to include your whole body. If you want to use Wii as a way to exercises, you could try to use the Wii Fit. It was made specifically for losing weight and exercising. It moniters your weight and lets you work out different parts of your body. There are yoga poses, strength excercises, and games. The games include this sort of stepping on and off the board at different patterns, running, and other sorts of things. You could excercise for 30 min it would help a lot. f you really don%26#039;t want to use this, you can also jog, run on a treadmill, swim (like going back and forth as fast as you can), play sports, etc. If you just want to lose weight, try eating healthy and combining excercises. By eating healthy, i mean no fast food, no chocolate, no other sweets, no junk food like chips. You should eat fish and meat and not too much rice. You have to eat more meat or fish or whatever your eating than rice. Also, this means no sodas, or energy drinks. Energy drinks are packed full of sugar which makes you active for a short time then you CRASH!! Also, eat only a little bit several times a day. If you get hungry, try eating a banana or yogurt to help you. Good luck! Hope this helps.

btw how old are you? If you are under like 25-30 years old you really need to lose weight and be healthier.|||its ok.....prob. not that many. maybe like 80.

try DDR (dance dance revolution.) my brother was DRENCHED at sweat after he used it. its soo fun too! he prob. burnt a good 200+ calories|||its definitely a start... i would look to mix things up though... never stick to one form of exercise
