Where can i go to learn and compeat in boxing?

I live in NC id like to box but dont know how to start my ymca doesnt have boxing stuff and have no clue what to do any help?|||The best place to start boxinng will be your local PAL (Police Athletic League). It is the best because they usually have good trainers, good staff, good equipment, and a solid amateur program.
