Is backyard, basement or non-sanctioned boxing a stupid thing to do? Should people stay away from these types of boxing matches?|||It is nothing wrong with backyard/basement/frontyard/garage boxing. I have a problem with this underground boxing where it can get ugly and legal action can take place. It is nothing wrong with buddies getting together in the yard and/or the garage and throw the gloves on. As kids and teenagers we did it. As long as it does not get out of control and causing seriuos injury. Kids get together and play tackle football without the pads or helmets. Same risk involve.|||Basement is such a bad idea, if you get dropped, you could whiplash the back of your head into the concrete. Backyard boxing is fine as long as it%26#039;s a sparring session and not an attempt to have a match. Where backyard boxing is a bad idea is when both guys try to kill each other. If there%26#039;s a medical situation, someone could die.|||Yeah, it is for retards who give boxing a bad name.
There are plenty of places to box above board at sanctioned events, even the white collar stuff.|||I don%26#039;t know about staying away if you are a spectator, but if you are a host you are opening yourself up for huge law suits and also legal/criminal problems.
If you are a fighter, you may end up fighting an unranked fighter who may be so much better than you that you end up with serious injuries.|||I Am In Full Favor Of It|||In my opinion, I think that if there%26#039;s nothing better to do go for it!!
In high school, every week we use to do that, and the fun we had was unbelievable!!!!!|||Yes as a young person you never think about what if.
What if you need brain surgery?
What if you get hurt and everybody runs away and leaves you to die, not even calling 911?
What if you survive an injury, do you have medical coverage for rehabilitation?
What if you get hurt, will you be able to get a job and support yourself?
That%26#039;s why I stopped trying to box and of course because I just wasn%26#039;t good enough.
