im 13 yo and want to go to a gym or something and start boxing training but am i too young? what is the youngest that you can start at?|||ur not young to start, most boxers train at very young age like at age 6 or 8.. mike tyson started boxing at age 12|||that%26#039;s a great age to start. if you start young you will have a great advantage over others when you get to be older b/c you will have been training for longer.|||Roy Jones Jr started at 6, Muhammad Ali started at 12, Rocky Marciano started at 23.
13 is fine.|||most gyms let u when you r 13 or 14 and no u r not 2 young i kno guys ur age that do boxing training so go 4 it!|||Jeff lacey, supermiddle weight world champ, started when he was eleven. I started when I was thirteen and allways wished I started earlier. It allways seemed like he got a head start and I could never catch up. on the other hand Winky Wright didn%26#039;t start in the gym till he was sixteen and hes the best I%26#039;ve ever seen. Floyde Mayweather Jr. started when he was three. In baseball a lot of kids start when they are four and five and in highschool you could tell the difference in the ones that didn%26#039;t start till they were nine. I think the same aplies in boxing but there is less competition and a lot of people get off to a late start. Just like you. Just remember there is another thirteen year old out there who has been boxing for ten years allready and has a whole lot of fights and ring experience on you allready. you%26#039;re off to a late start! GET BUSY!!!!!!!|||the younger the better.. more experience when you really step in the ring..
