How should I start training for boxing? Should I join the gym or do you think I should train on my own?

I%26#039;ve always wanted to try boxing, and I know I%26#039;m tough enough to do it. I%26#039;m 18 about 178 pounds, and have a really bad anger problem. Any suggestions would be great|||if your in real bad shape i recommend that you do some running, pull ups, and sit ups. If you go to a %26quot;real%26quot; boxing gym and tell the trainers you wanna learn to fight and you actually wanna fight, they are gonna push you early to see if youll wuss out when things get tough. Or at least thats what they should do.

As for the you know your tough and have anger problems part, ive seen lots of dudes with the same thing just to realize that boxing is for real, and to learn you will have to fight people better than you who will **** you up. Most people quit as soon as they realize that.

And for the anger part, its ok to get mad when you get hit. But if your the type who thinks everytime you get hit that you have to charge in and hit them back, youll get schooled. Those are the funnest ppl to fight because they are so easy to break down mentally and they are way to predictable. Thats why boxing is called %26quot;the sweet science.%26quot;

I recommend trying it out though, boxing is a easy sport to fall in love with especially once you get some real experience.|||Find a good trainer; fighting is not just hitting and being hit. First you need to pay attention and focus, then its learning to move around the ring before you can even begin to throw punches. And if your doing it cause your have Anger Issues get a punching bag and wail away at it till you fill better because someone less tough with experience is going to embarrass you.|||i box, %26amp; i box with a man who%26#039;s in the hall of fame, not giving any names though, uhm, i prefer learning with someone who had professional experience, learning the techniques %26amp; combinations are difficult. how old are you? if youre older you could pay more for a better coach, basic work outs are RUNNINGGGG, lots of shadow boxing, mountain climbers, weight lifting (not in my case :) ) %26amp; any other muscle builders...by the way, if you stick with your idea, dont forget to use hand wraps (everlast) because in my case my hands have gotten scarred , a LOT due to not using them. good luck. by the way i%26#039;m only 13, so , i mean this isnt the absolute best advice.|||Train at home first, get in shape by running and punching bag, try and get someone interested the same as you and work together, maintain a schedule with your workouts. If you decide after you have done this for a while then go to a gym.

Good luck and stick with it!|||i dont think boxing is going to help you if you have a bad temperament, try an anger management course,get some advice it cant hurt.......boxing does!!|||you will have to beat me,im calm,collected and have a cracking left uppercut that will take 192 pounds off the canvas coupled with a %26quot;showstopper%26quot; right cross!!
